On 18-20/12/2008 in “ASTIR HOTEL” (Patras – Greece), the PRoMPt project had the Kick-off Meeting among eight of ten partners and special guests from Fire Brigade, Police, Army, Civil Protection, Municipalities and Prefecture Offices organized by the Region of Western Greece (Lead Partner). The objectives were: provide an overview of PRoMPt, present the involved partners, establish the first contacts, complete the agendas for future meetings, and discuss details of project management, deliverables and scientific content of the project
On April 2nd-3rd 2009, in Macerata Civil Protection Control Room, PRoMPt project had the 2nd Steering Committee Meeting among partners and some representatives from Fire Brigade, Corps Forest Rangers, Marche Region Department for Integrated Security and Civil Protection. The objective of the meeting was the evaluation of the up – to - date activities along with the definition of further details about the project management.
On 10/03/2009, ASAEL celebrated the Info Day of PROMPT Project. This event counted for support to the Regional Ministry of Environment, represented by the General Director of Forest Management Department. This Department is conformed for combating the fires and their consequences. Among the public was: local and regional staff, representatives of the Volunteers Brigades for Civil Protection and Fight against Forest fires and members of the firemen.
The INTERREG IVC Secretariat held a Financial seminarfor Lead partners and Lead partner controllers on 11-12 June 2009 in Brussels.This informative and interactive seminar provided participants with an opportunity to really understand what is required from them and from their partners to ensure that control and audit procedures are properly followed. The event was largely successful judging from the feedback of participants.
27th June - Piceni Park Resort in Campli TE. A conference was held to present the project ProMPT to an audience of guests, policy makers, generic peoples and wildfire experts.
The President of Mountain Union of Laga, the project coordinator Gino Verrocchi and Representatives from National Forestry Corp, National Fire Corp, Civil Protection Volunteers were speakers in the conference.
